Differences in Funding

Gateway College Prep is proud to be a Public Charter school, which allows us many freedoms normally not afforded to traditional public schools but this comes at a cost – Charter schools do not have access to local property taxes and receive no state aid for construction or renovations of facilities. On average, this is a $2,000 per student per year funding disparity. We believe that our students deserve the very best, including the facilities they learn in and so we’ve decided to move forward with construction.
